We love this foolproof recipe for flavorful, crispy chickpeas that turn out perfectly every time! They are delicious on top of soups, salads or work as a great snack on their own. Chickpeas are high in fiber and protein which helps you feel full and energized.

Ingredients:
- 15 oz chickpeas (drained and rinsed)
- ½ teaspoon ground cumin
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ¼ teaspoon ground coriander
- ½ teaspoon sea salt
- ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- ½ to 1 tablespoon olive oil
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
- Lightly spray a baking sheet with cooking oil (olive oil or avocado oil) and set aside.
- Drain and rinse the chickpeas.
- Put the chickpeas on a paper towel lined plate and pat dry. Let the chickpeas dry on the paper towels until they are dry.
- Transfer the dry chickpeas to the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake in a preheated oven for 15 minutes plain without any oil or spices.
- After 15 minutes, remove the chickpeas from the oven and drizzle ½ tablespoon of olive oil over the chickpeas (adding more if necessary), stirring until evenly coated.
- Add the spice mixture until evenly distributed.
- Bake at 400 for 10 additional minutes and stir the chickpeas.
- Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until desired crispiness is achieved (a total of ~30-35 minutes).
- Turn off the oven and open the jar so it’s propped ajar. Let the chickpeas cool in the oven to achieve maximum crispiness.
- Serve with your favorite recipe, or enjoy as a snack on their own.
